Review Guide for alg II hp Trig

I will have a review guide that I will project in class.  Our book does not have the required problems.

There should be about 12 problems from the unit (ch 9).

2 solving longer equations
3 solving short equations
2 establishing identities
1 utilizing the unit vocab
1 right triangle application
1 graph- equation relationship
1 even vs. odd function
1 making a trig ratio from a point on the circle

The identities factor pretty heavily in this test.

honors trig videos

Here are some videos I found that could be helpful with the identities and trig equations.

trig identities - Sal is sloppy but he does explain it well - there are even 2 more parts to this.

Establishing Identities - hard to find a good one but these seem fine

Algebra I polynomial review guide

There is a test on Thursday  There are 13 problems.

For classification and like terms, read p. 636-638

for multiplying, do the following

(x - 4)( x +11)         and    (x^2 - 3x +1)(2x + 3)

for factoring, see p. 675 #7

Stats test review guide

There is going to be a test on Friday on the stats we worked on in class.  Most of it is in chapter 11 but a few will be from chapter 10

The concepts are:

2- finding the number of combinations or permutations (10.5)
1  using a table to find probability (10.3)
1 finding multi-event probability (10.2)
1 building a bell curve from mean and standard deviation  (11.1)
3 finding probability from a bell curve (11.1)
1 comparing samples and population (11.2)
2 on sampling techniques and methods (11.3)

If you want to start early, you can go to the chapter review at the end of each chapter and start doing those problems.  I will list some other ones you can do later this week.

Thursday 2, 4, 6

I was out today though Mr Russell was there for periods 4 and 6.  He had work he assigned and collected.  If you missed today, turn in the work for this week when you return.

Period 2 was given work by the sub - 3 assignments since it was a 2-hour class.  You should have turned it in.  See me if you missed it so you can make it up.

See you all on Monday.
