Alg II HP review guide unit 1

As of Friday August 29th, this is the review guide.  

Unit 1 review guide

Be able to determine domain of a function by graph or by equation.

Make sure you can graph a parent function that has been transformed by recognizing the transformations.  Ex.  Y = 2(x-1)² + 6

Be able to name the transformations in an equation.

Be able to write an equation from a description of a parent function and transformations.

Be able to identify transformations from a change in a situation from the original story.

Be able to identify a new point on a general function by the transformations in the equation.  Ex.  Where is (1,2) of f(x) on the graph Y = 2f(x+3)-8

Be able to make an equation, including interval, from a piecewise graph and visa-versa.

Be able to make a piecewise function from a word problem.

No composite functions on test.  Learn them well for next year by doing the POU.

Alg I -  we turned in p. 96 #37-39, 46 and 33 today.  See myself or Mr Russell tomorrow if you have not done so.
