Very few questions this one.  If you prepare well in advance, you are guaranteed a good test score, which many of you need!

writing summation notation - 3 questions

arithmetic sequence - 1

arithmetic series - 2

infinite geometric series - 1

finite geometric series  - 2


Many of these are in word problem format so make sure you know how to recognize the difference between infinite and finite and arithmetic and geometric as I will not tell you which is which.

Think about: the movie gross problem p.906, #18 on p. 895, #44 on p. 896.

For those who are taking my alg I ch 7 test this Thursday, if you want to do well, make sure you are able to:

put big and small numbers into scientific notation
multiply any polynomials against another
solve an area problem that involves rectangles and polynomials
solve a system of equations

monday 2/9

alg II P - no hw but you have a quiz and a test in the next 3 days so prepare by being able to write an exponential function, solve a log equation and know the properties that help you solve.

1 graphing problem where you have to graph from description and then give domain and range

5 solving log problems from 7-5 though one of them involves e

1 on naming transformations


Make sure you know the properties to help you solve quickly.  Plugging in numbers might be time consuming.
