Wednesday 3/7

alg II hp -  We did review problems for the test on Thursday.  If you missed, work on the review guide so you are ready.

alg II -  We started class by finding the sum of a certain number of terms of an infinite  geometric sequence.  We filled in some gaps with some notes.  hw is p.439 #2, 7-9, 15, 17.

Monday, March 5, 2018

Monday / Tuesday 3/6-3/7

period 1 -  we examined a quadratic sequence and how to find missing terms in that sequence.  We also did work in 8-4 p. 439 #2, 7-917, 18, 26, 31.  we ended with notes on the recursive rule, which is not on the test but could be used if you want.  For hw, check the review guide from Sunday.

period 2 -  we started with #53 on p. 431 and reviewed the hw from Friday.  We also added another example to our 8-3 notes. and did p. 430 #23-26, 31, 41, 47.
.

periods 4-6 -    Test make ups if you missed today. we had warm up 12 and a task.  Both turned in.  After the break, we worked together on the Holt Concept Connection p. 762.  Also, turned in today.

period 1 review guide sequences

Our test is this Thursday on ch 8.   There should be 9-10 problems.

1 - find the sum of a  arithmetic series
1 - finding the sum of a geometric series
2 - writing summation notation from a series
1- using the geometric series formula to find an unknown
2 applications of a series (arithmetic or geometric)
1 - finding the sum of an infinite series
1-2    finding the term in a sequence based on given information (could be a quadratic)

Parker REALLY wants that fractal problem in there, so I will see what I can do.

Here are some pretty good problems
p.  415 #33, 36-37, 46, 55
p. 422 #24-25, 47, 50, 53, 62ab
p. 430 #36-37, 50-51,
p. 439 #9-11, 17

Although there probably won't be any questions on how to write a recursive function, you COULD use recursive as the rule in summation notation.
