Review Guide for Algebra I Quadratics
There are 10 problems on the unit test and here is their breakdown:
4 solving a quadratic (some will be factorable but others won't be; one will have only 1 variable!)
1 graphing a quadratic function
1 writing a quadratic from solutions
1 writing a quadratic function from a table
1 finding a maximum/ minimum for a quadratic equation
1 understanding why we set the equation to zero
1 solving a system of equations that has a quad equation in it.
I will include problems from the book soon but you should have several warm ups and problems from Holt that you can re-do to practice in the meantime.
in the book (remember the back of the book has answers to check to see if you did it right):
p. 704 #1-3
p. 709 #1 a-c
p. 715 #11 a-b
p. 753 #4 a-c
p. 779 #5
p. 787 #14
p. 759 example 2; this is an inequality problem. You will just solve the equation that look like these inequalities. Book didn't have a better example.
