I'm out today but based on what I left,
alg II P - finish that handout the sub gave out
alg II HP - the projects will be due before the perf task that we have on friday; there is an alternate equation on Wed's post if you have the equation that ends with -26. all other equations should be fine.

alg II P - #15-23 ODDS ON PG. 442
alg II HP - your project is due on Friday before we start the perf task. If you missed today, here are the directions:
30 points in quiz category – attach this paper to
your project
This project will ask you
to graph an equation based on its zeros, y-intercept, and end behavior.
Math: Create a coordinate plane. Plot the y-intercept.
To get the roots, use the
rational root theorem and synthetic division to reduce the equation to a
quadratic. Then solve the quadratic using factoring or the quadratic formula.
If solutions are imaginary, list them.
List all possible zeroes on your paper (p/q).
Describe the end behavior
next to your graph.(Check notes 6-7).
Art: After you graph it, turn it into a
picture. Treat it like a Rorschach inkblot. In other words, draw what you think you
see in the graph. It is like the
game of staring at the clouds and telling others what the clouds look like.
Grading: Most of the grade comes from your display
of math knowledge, but neatness, originality and artistry factor into the grade
as well.
Breakdown:
math 50%, neatness 10%, artistry 25%, originality 15%.
and here is your equation:
y=½ x2(2x4+3x3-x2+6x-10)
