Thursday 8/30

alg II hp -  Did more work on functions, trans and D & R.  We looked at the classic error of function notation, and started to transform unknown functions as well as move points on an unknown function after transfortmations.  Hw is p.  28  #34, 35, 37  all on system of equations.



alg II -   We finished the notes on domain and range after doing a warm up on sequences.  In groups we worked on p.8-9 #11-15, 21, 25, 40, 41, 43   it is hw if you did not finise




alg I -   After doing a warm up on simplifying expressions and graphing;  we then did more work on the "machines" and some classes got to work on the robots.

Wednesday 8/30

alg II hp - Were able to work in groups on whiteboard problems practicing domain, range, parent functions, transformations.  No hw.



alg II -    This class did whiteboard exercises on functions and transformations.  Started notes on domain and range.  No hw.



alg I -  we had our quizzes on both Parker and Russell and then started the "machines" exercise.  No hw.

Tuesday 8/29/17

Alg II hp - WE expanded our notes from yesterday to differentiate between stretch and shrink as well as adding domain and range and interval notation. p. 16  #3-5, 7-8


alg II -    WE had a Desmos review (think about downloading the app for your phone) and then we finished our notes and practiced on p.8   #3, 4, 11, 12 15.



alg I -    Today we played Pyramid using vocab words, then had a whiteboard review and finally we did a math task about a yogurt company.  No hw.

Monday 8/28

All classes received their book today, but there was still time in class to do some work.  See below for each class in case you missed today.


alg II Hp - We started with an open middle, and then got the first notes of the year (functions and transformations)!.  Hw is p. 8 #3-7, 11-14, 17


alg II -  We explored the Desmos.com site and how to use the graphing calcuator and then reviewed the pre test.  If there was time, we took notes on functions.
