study guide for alg II HP ch 13 trig
Review
Guide for Ch 13
1. Find all six trigonometric
values for 5pi/6 on the unit circle.
2. Find all six trigonometric
values for a terminal side that goes through (3, -4)
3. If John leaves origin at 40
degrees north of east and Edna leaves origin at 10 degrees west of north, how
far apart are they if John goes 100 yards and Edna goes 350 yards?
4. Solve the triangle that has:
·
Sides of 7, 9 and 12
·
Sides of 8 and 11 with inclusive angle of 75 degrees
·
2 angles: one of 45 and the other 60 degrees with non-inclusive side of 8.2
5. What is the area of a
triangle of:
·
sides 4.5, 6 and 9.
·
Sides 5 and 6 with inclusive angle of 39 degrees
6. An airplane is descending
for landing. The angle of depression to the
beginning of the airstrip is 14 degrees and the angle of depression to the end
of the airstrip is 7 degrees. If
the plane is 2 miles high, how long is the airstrip in feet? (5280 ft/ mi.)
7. If the short leg of a
30-60-90 triangle is 3 times the square root of 2, what is the length of the long leg?
9. What is the area of a
pentagon inscribed in a circle if the radius of the circle is 10 cm?

study guide for alg II P for stats
the test will consist of the following concepts:
1. how to find mean, standard dev, IQR
2. know how to make a box n whiskers and bell curve
3. know how to best sample a population
4. know the 3 errors of data collection
5. know how to find the probability from a bell curve and standard deviation.
6. know the difference between observational study and experiment.
7. know vocab: significant, random, characteristic of interest, treatment, sample, population, mean, median.
8. know how to accept or reject null hypothesis.
The test will be about 10-12 questions and will be the easiest one for the rest of the year.

this is pretty much set and at least 90% true.
10 problems on:
finding mean and standard deviation
making either a box and whiskers, histogram or bell curve
knowing the Empirical rule of 68-95-99
understanding proper ways of data collection
knowing the errors that will throw off data collection
